Picnic at Hanging Rock

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's actually sunny with blue sky! You have no idea how happy I am when the sun is out, I know that sounds silly considering I live in Sydney, but this has been the worst Winter and Spring in history. It has been the coldest weather with rain all week during Spring. Ok, I'm exaggerating but it sure feels that way.

Yesterday I spent the day with my one and only (taking him away from his studies - guilty) to adsorb the sunshine at Oatley National Park. It was blissful, especially sitting on a huge rock at the look out, feels like you're on top of the world.

Happy Birthday to me! Now, i'm not the one who would get excited about my birthday, mainly because of the aging thing, but for some reason this year I felt more excited, maybe i've finally accepted that it's human to grow old or I'm excited about living. Of course it wouldn't have been a perfect birthday without a valuable lesson in life - mine would be, don't drive into poles.

My birthday was just perfect, we started off with high tea at the Park Hyatt, with all of my favourite girls and then for my actual birthday my bf took me to dinner at the Shangri La, could not have been any sweeter.

I would like to thank all my friends who have been there for me all through high school, and Uni, and now work, I love each and every one of you guys, even if it's being expressed through email and not actual social interaction....wooo to mass emails! I'm so happy you guys got along :)

Sunday's Roast

Happy Sunday everyone! I spent my sunny Sunday down my bf's farm to celebrate his uncle's 50th birthday, aside from the chilly weather it was quite lovely.

I love the country side, after experiencing a bad week of bad news, car accident, busy schedule it's nice to just sit back and enjoy the simple things in life.

Bikini

It's nice to be appreciated for your efforts :)

I entered the Billabong bikini design competition and due to the overwhelming responses Billabong decided to reward everyone who entered with a little gift, a bikini necklace. Very Cute.

Below is the design I submitted for the competition, but I don't think it'll be enough to win it considering all the other designs are crazy good! My inspiration and theme for the design was spring, I wanted lots of colours, something soft and feminine with the added frills.

You can see other design here too:

Cafe Sydney

This week my boyfriend and I celebrated our 2 and a half years anniversary, any excuse to go out and celebrate is a good enough for me, especially in this spring gloomy weather. We dined at Cafe Sydney on top of Custom House over looking the famous Sydney Harbour, the food was wonderful, it went perfectly with the view and the cocktail menu was endless compared to the 1 page food menu. The mains were averaged at $35 which is quite reasonable for the restaurant of its status. The best part of course was dessert!

Can't wait for our 3 years anniversary! It can only get better from here!

My main, grilled swordfish, the best I've ever tasted!

We couldn't decide on dessert so we got the tasting platter which was more than enough for us $45
