Bye Bye Birdie

How stunning is Ann-Margret? I remember watching her films with Elvis and thought Elvis has finally met his match to accompany his good looks. I was watching Mad Men and her ad popped up for bye bye birdie and realised how much she captivated the world with her flawless porcelain skin and that cheeky flirty grin she has when she's in front of the camera as if she notices very man who is watching intently to her films.

I was making my headpiece while listening to bye bye birdie which inspired me to posed the way i did hahah. And then my phone rang...

Bridal expo

Over the weekend I went to a bridal expo held at the Ivy by the Merivale group, with my friend Mandy, and it was so glamorous! The Ivy is, of course, a beautiful venue with its huge grand ball room to cater for a capacity of about 400 people. No, I’m not getting married, but I’ve always loved the idea of the perfect wedding. Mandy and I were thinking about going into the wedding planning business a while ago, and I do think it’s one of the best jobs, you get to make people happy! I wish I took some photos to show you guys but I was too shy to do so. The expo showed some beautiful stunning wedding dresses, cakes, invitations, table settings and flowers, plus they were serving us pink cosmos, champagne, and little appetizers.

Anywho, just thought I’ll share with you guys some of my ideas for my ‘future’ wedding.

DIY Lace Vintage Dress

I have finally completed my Alex Perry dress! Hooray! It only took me a few hours over the course of a week....no biggie at all.. But i must say i am quite happy with the outcome. It's not 100% finished yet as i need my mum to hem and over lock the bottom on the dress, but i haven't been too fussed about it and took advantage of Sydney's sunny weather and my local park miniature rail train course as my back drop.

Bought this dress from a vintage store in Newtown for $25. Before Shot.

After Shot: Many alterations made and the dress is perfect (for me)

Project Alex Perry

I'm in love with this dress from Alex Perry's Spring Collection 2010, even more so when worn by Miranda Kerr. So much that i'm going to make my own! Well...i'll try. I found this great lace dress at a vintage store in Newtown and i'm going to alter it a bit to make it look like Alex Perry's one. I will show you guys once i'm done.

I've got you babe

A late blog, but here a what's been happening in pictures:
