Escape in world of libraries

Can somebody tell me if this is real? Or is it just a working model? I wish it was real, it would be amazingly awesome! And how appropriate that they picked all the classics, like Lord of the Rings, Charlotte’s Web and Romeo and Juliet (from what I can see).

I would love having my own little library in my house, my friend R is the closest person I know who owns a mini library; all she needs now is a ladder.

If I were a princess for a day

This is how I want my room to look like. Reminds me of my friend A who insists that people call her princess, she has a tiara and all.

Unfortunately this is a cartoon still, but nevertheless ‘Princess’ theme interior design is something I’ll probably turn my room into – or at least my future daughter's room.

NEW YORK NEW YORK!!

I have never been to New York, but I dream about going there constantly that it has become my life’s goal (I don’t dream big do I?). What can I say? Hollywood has sucked me in with its movies showing sites around New York, TV shows like ‘Sex in the City’ and ‘Gossip Girl’ can only make a girl crave for bigger and better materialistic desires. New York I will conquer you one day! I’ve already started planning my trip with my best friend N so we’ve committed to save enough by next year to go in Fall. Hopefully I can drag my two other girlfriends R and J, that is if they’re not planning for another trip to Europe (which I am also dying to go!), and we can really make it a ‘Carrie Bradshaw and co.’ style!

My top 10 things to do in NY:
- First thing, I must eat a hot dog, with the lot! Onion, pickles, mustard and tomato sauce.
- Go to Central Park, it’s the biggest man-made park, so I want to do everything in there! Do they have a zoo or boat hire to row around the lake?
- Of course, see the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building.
- Eat as much American cereal I can get my hands on!
- See a Broadway show.
- Stock up on Tiffany & Co. and Victoria’s Secret and possibly anything else I can’t find in Australia.
- Visit Brooklyn and Soho.
- Ride the yellow taxis.
- Shop at Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s
- Go to the Metropolitan Museum

Diane von Fürstenberg Fall Collection NYC

Oh Mrs. Diane von Fürstenberg can you do no wrong?

Diane von Fürstenberg’s fall collection debuted in New York’s recent fashion week. These are my favourites from her collection, loving the electric blue that is both striking and not too empowering on the runway, a bit like Diane in real life. Sharing that common thread with Princess Diana, former Princess Diane von Furstenberg was married into royalty before parting ways and making it big on her own. This lady is not only strong as a woman but also has a strong sense of fashion that is not to be reckoned with.

Welcome

First post of 2010!

I am very excited to start my ‘Be Inspired’ blog! I’ve been accumulating all these random images for quite some time now, as well as things that I’ve been working on, this will be the place where I will be sharing my thoughts and views on things such as fashion, aspiring artists and designers, quirky fixtures and probably a place to vent. I hope this will be a space where I will inspire you with all the wonderful taste and colours in the world!

M

PS I am a girl with very few words, I’ll let the pictures do the talking for me.
