Archinspired

I’ve decided to have an Architecture inspired segment every now and then because there are just too many amazing designs to go without mentioning. I saw this on the SMH gallery this morning and just could not stop ogling at the pictures. This Yacht, is called the WHY yacht, a concept yacht for the luxurious lifestyle and greener cleaner way of travelling as it uses less diesel. Designed by Wally yacht designer and fashion house Hermes WHY is estimated $160million to build, surely there is someone in Dubai who can afford to fund this magnificent craft…..surely..

My initial thought of this new aircraft was, omg it’s the death star from Doctor Who (2nd picture). But obviously it’s not like that at all. Another design concept, depicting a futuristic way of travelling, shown floating over the skyline of Dubai. This aircraft is more about promoting the experience of travelling rather than the speed of the journey, so in other words it’s probably slow, which is nice for the passenger to marvel at the view and relax. Perfect for a restaurant, will beat the 360 degree revolving restaurant that’s for sure!

I quite like this concept, it’s definitely environmentally friendly and creates a warm family home vibe. Still being planned out, this home will belong to Gary Neville of Manchester United for £8 million. Right in the center of this flower home is the kitchen; I like how the kitchen is the one room that brings the family together so this is quite cleverly designed. I’m sure this design will enable Gary to practice football on his roof, after all it is underground. My only concern is the guttering; I hope they have a really good plan for it because they’ll be flooding when it rains.

And finally how about this, owning your own piece of history as the Chateau belonged to the author of the 3 Musketeers is now on the market, yours for just €3.65 million.
