Bonjour!

I'm back from my Europe trip and I still amazed at all the wonderful places I visited on my trip, it does open my mind to the rest of the world and knowing I must now experience it all!

I will be uploading a few of my favourite pictures every now and then, mostly to reminisce.

Prada Baroque Sunglasses

My two best friends are now united in the UK for their first leg of their adventure, i'll be seeing them in May. I am so excited to hang out with them in another country, i've never travelled with them before, and don't know why, it seems silly we haven't done it before?

As i'm trying to save as much as I can for the trip, I made one last splurge as I convinced myself its a necessity I would need it for Paris (probably not). The heavily sold out in Australia 'Prada Baroque Sunglasses'. I love them, ok so they're a little big on my face, but it's a statement piece and there's no such thing as too bold for a statement.

In other news, for you fashionistas, you must must check out some of the latest fashion documentaries which were recently released in small cinemas or buy them on dvds, i've seen 'YSL L'amour Fou' which is a beautifully made documentary from Yves' partner Pierre struggling to justify the reasoning to auction their artistic belongings as he remembers back when Yves was at the peak of his career. Another documentary is 'Bill Cunningham New York' which follows a day in the life of Bill as how he is depicted and presented to the fashion world, a very inspiring and moving film - I highly recommended.

Oh and you must watch this if you're a Summer Roberts fan from the O.C - So funny, I love her even more now.

One Day

I've finished my first book for the year! Ok, so it took me like 3 months but I stuck by it and finished it. It felt more of an accomplishment to finish the book than an enjoyable read, don't get me wrong I enjoyed it, but I felt this book was character building overload, actually I'm going to stand my grounds and say the book was character building at it's best. The storyline had potential but I didn't feel this romance novel stuck by the conventional sub text of other romance novels. Every time there was a climax in the story it was more of an announcement, it didn't go into detail as much as I would have liked. But as I mentioned I did enjoy the book, a slow start but then a quick change of pace.

After that I had to watch the movie to see how it was depicted on the big screen. I have to say I was disappointed, from what I saw I thought they did a good job on making every screen very detailed as the book described it, but the editing was far from the story. So much was left out to the point where I felt the main character Dexter was depicted as a prick, which he isn't in the book.

For people who didn't read the book, I don't think they would enjoy it. But hey i'm a sucker for a romance novel any day.
